Obamania Continues: NY Times on the DC Restaurant Scene and Obama

The inauguration and impending “Obamapocalypse” in DC is just a few short days away, so indulge me for what will likely be a string of Obama-themed posts over the next week. I can’t help myself.

The NY Times Dining section gives DC top billing today. In the first of two articles, the Times ponders what Obama will do for the DC restaurant scene. Where will he be spotted next? What restaurants will get the biggest boost from his attendence? Will the new wave of Obamaniacs coming to DC forsake the tried and true steakhouse hot spots of the tail-between-their-legs-Republican-types of yesteryear for the more trendy upstart restaurants?

And how about this great photo? That brings us to the next Times article, which does a good job covering the ever-expanding restaurant scene in many of DC’s historic and emerging neighborhoods. Including mine, which, as this blog noted earlier in the week, was one of the first places Obama went to eat.
