Washington Post Weighs in with Dining Recommendations for Obama

Not to be outdone by their NYC rival, the Washington Post has gotten in on the Obama-food-mania with  a Tom Sietsema-penned list of DC dining recommendations for the soon-to-be first family. The article is slated to run in this Sunday’s Washington Post magazine, but it’s already available online.

The list focuses primarily on a set of picks for Italian, comfort food, and Mexican restaurants, but also includes a few of DC’s top standouts and fun places to bring the family. It’s a good list to start from, but I’d expand it to include 2 Amy’s and Cactus Cantina for the Italian and Mexican, as well as family fun, categories, and Blue Duck Tavern for top notch contemporary American cuisine that might also fit in the comfort food category.
